Thought of the Month (March 2026): Agents Need Self-Modeling Humans
AI agents are most effective when the human operator understands their own goals, can delegate clearly, and can audit what the system is actually doing.

My thought for March 2026 is simple: AI agents are best used by people who understand their own mind first.
An agent should be treated like an autonomous extension of one goal, not as a magical coworker that can fix unclear thinking. If you cannot define the goal clearly, the agent will optimize noise.
The practical stack is:
- Define your goal in plain language.
- Break that goal into explicit tasks and constraints.
- Delegate one objective per agent whenever possible.
- Verify outputs with enough technical literacy to understand what the agent actually did.
The winning pattern is not “more agents.” The winning pattern is better self-modeling + better delegation + better technical judgment.
That combination is what turns agents into leverage instead of theater.
